Instructions:
Step 1 โ Make the Pound Cake:
-
Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (165ยฐC). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or two 9ร5-inch loaf pans.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a large bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3โ5 minutes).
-
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combinedโdo not overmix.
-
Pour batter into the prepared pan(s) and smooth the top.
-
Bake for 60โ75 minutes (Bundt) or 50โ60 minutes (loaf pans), or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 2 โ Prepare the Caramel Glaze:
-
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
-
Stir in brown sugar and milk/cream. Bring to a gentle boil while stirring constantly, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
-
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
-
Gradually whisk in sifted powdered sugar until smooth and glossy. If the glaze is too thick, add a teaspoon of milk. If too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.

Step 3 โ Glaze the Cake:
-
Once the cake is completely cool, place it on a serving plate or rack.
